As part of the academy of the Plant for the Planet Foundation, trees were once again planted to fight against climate change. At the same time, 37 students from 15 schools were educated as climate ambassadors.

SAF-HOLLAND is once again supporting the “Plant for the Planet” foundation started by Feliz Finkbeiner. The donation of 25.000,– Euro helps the ambassadors for climate justice to continue the support for our future and to plant even more trees.

Already active students of the Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation once again have trained around 30 children from the region to become climate ambassadors. They planted together approximately 100 trees for their future.

With the overall corporate concept based on the “We Think Ahead” sustainability campaign and a CSR-Sustainability Program, SAF-HOLLAND convinced the independent expert jury, which includes well-known personalities from industry, science, associations and the media. The company will be awarded the European Transport Award for Sustainability by the newspaper Transport.

On the basis of the motto “Stop Talking, Start Planting”, the Plant for the Planet Foundation, supported by SAF-HOLLAND, will again draw attention to climate change, justice and global environmental problems on 25.11.2017: 58 pupils from the region learned age-appropriate about the climatic and ecological relationships in the Landhotel Klingerhof in Hösbach / Winzenhohl and planted fir trees, beeches and Douglas firs.

Securing the future together
Based on the motto of „Stop talking start planting“, SAF-HOLLAND teamed up with the „Plant-for-the-Planet“ initiative to organise an environmental day of action for children and young people. The team introduced 30 school pupils to the issues of climate change, climate justice and global environmental problems. The young activists were able to tackle the subject themselves by planting trees.
